The House of cultural traditions
The House of cultural traditions in our village is one of the projects that we implemented thanks to the EU funds - Operational programme of cross-border co-operation Slovak republic – Czech republik 2007-2013. The purpose of this project was to reconstruct the old building of village hall in the centre of village Dohňany.
Nowadays a new reconstructed building named House of cultural traditions is a center of cultural life in our village. Visitors can visit this house and see exposition of ethnical features, history of life, traditions of region Púchov´s valley and region Hornolidečsko. There is an exhibition of folk elements focused on traditional costumes typical for both mentioned regions.
You can visit the House of cultural traditions Wednesdays and Sundays from 15:00 to 17:00.
