Dividing of Czechoslovakia in 1993 caused many problems with continuing and increasing of existing cooperation with neighbourig country. There is a long tradition in communication between two nations, family bonds and friendships without language bariers.
There are plenty of social, art, cultur and sport events and attractions in frontier regions of Púchov's valley and Hornolidečsko. To make these events more attractive and advantage, more money and promotion was needed. This was reason why Municipality of Dohňany as an applicant together with other Municipalities in Púchov's valley (Mestečko, Záriečie, Lúky, Lysá p. Makytou and Lazy pod Makytou) decided to elaborate a project and apply for a financial aid from EU funds. The project supports the most important culture, social and sport events in the region of Púchov's valley.
This project has a partner "a twin" in Moravian frontier region - microregion Hornolidečsko.

The project supports these events:
The last and the most important activity of this project is to make a film documentary that shows cultur, social, historical and natural attractions of villages in Púchov's valley. This documentary will have the same concept as a documentary about region Hornolidečsko.
